Site Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standard. You will serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, clients, and internal project managers.

Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday
12 Month contract

We are a commercial refurbishment and construction specialist firm based in the South East. You will be part of a small team, working alongside the site team and regularly communicating with those in the office. The contract is for a project starting in 2027.



Responsibilities:

Site Leadership: Supervise daily on-site activities, coordinate trade contractors, and ensure effective workforce deployment.
Health & Safety Management: Enforce site safety policies, perform risk assessments, deliver toolbox talks, and maintain full compliance with health & safety, and environmental standards.
Project Delivery: Track progress against project schedules, manage material orders/deliveries, and proactively resolve on-site delays or issues.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure all work adheres to project specifications and building regulations.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, and senior management through clear, regular updates.


Requirements:

Proven track record as a Site Manager delivering [fit out / construction / civil engineering] projects.
Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), CSCS Black/Gold Card, and First Aid at Work certificate.
Strong understanding of construction methods, health & safety regulations, and reading architectural/structural drawings.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage trades and keep projects moving under tight deadlines.
