Kimberly Access was created in 1994 by Gary Smith and Peter Piekarus with the idea of being a small supplier of access machines who would concentrate on customer satisfaction and creating a close knit team of engineers hire desk and sales staff.

In 2002 with addition of Glenn Lowe to head the sales team and Ian Mayland to look after the finance side Kimberly Access Limited looked at its customers and realised that to satisfy their need for access machines the company would have to grow. The idea was to grow the fleet to 600 machines and 4 depots concentrating in the north where Gary and Peter personally knew the staff they would require to achieve the plan.

Under tight financial control and growing by customer needs depots at St Helens and then Doncaster were opened 18 months apart. In 2005 following increasing enquiries from customers Kimberly Access started its fleet of Telehandlers and now has over 50 JCB loadalls. September 2006 saw our Bedford depot opened and in February 2007 Kimberly Access bought its 1,000th access machine and continues to grow strong driven by customer demand.
