Wiltshire Council are renewing the Highways works framework. The framework allows access to multiple suppliers capable of carrying out specialist highway works who can be called upon to provide these works on an ‘as instructed’ basis to support the Council with the maintenance of their highway assets and the delivery of their highway service

Tenderers are to complete the competency based assessment and if successful will be awarded a place on the overarching framework and a preferred supplier on the Lots applied.
Mini-competitions will be conducted as and when works arise within each lot through the lifetime of the framework.

Lot 1. ROAD RETEXTURING
Description
The provision of contractors able to provide road surface retexturing of existing asphaltic, bituminous and surface dressed roads to increase both the macro and micro texture to restore skid-resistance and extend asset life by means of;

The provision of contractors able to provide in-situ recycling to restore a failed road, footway or carriageway reusing the existing construction materials to reconstruct a new pavement/footway with the strength and life expectancy of a traditionally designed and constructed pavement/footway.

Description
The provision of contractors able to provide surface treatments through the use of preservations and rejuvenators to protect and prolong the life of the client’s highway asset.
Asphalt Surface Course Preservation
This service is required to seal pavements against water and salt ingress and seal in essential oils and resins and slow down the oxidation and embrittlement process.
