Description

City of Wolverhampton Council is inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors to deliver Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) funded adaptation works to domestic properties across the city, enabling disabled residents to live more independently and safely.

The scope is expected to include (non-exhaustive): internal adaptations such as level access showers/bathroom alterations, associated plumbing and electrical works, minor building works (including more complex adaptation packages where required), and external works such as access improvements, hardstanding/driveway works and dropped kerb interface works, including making good.

The contract is split into three geographic Lots, aligned to HIA operating areas and Social Care boundaries: Lot 1 (East HIA Area), Lot 2 (West HIA Area), and Lot 3 (North HIA Area). Each Lot covers the same specification of works and the Council intends to award one contractor per Lot.

Description of possible extension:

12 months with 2 extensions available.

The contract extensions will be based on minimum acceptable performance (map) being met by the supplier as identified via key performance indicators.

This includes the full range of services under the contract, including internal adaptations, bathroom and level access shower works, internal reconfigurations, driveways and dropped kerbs, modular/fixed ramps, minor works, major DFG works and extensions, and other associated housing-related works as instructed by the Council. The scope and service requirements are the same across all Lots; only the geographic coverage differs.
