Description
The Council wishes to engage with supplier(s) for the collection and purchase of Kerbside Recycling Material (KRM) which has been collected from homes and businesses in Bath and North East Somerset.
Kerbside Recycling Material comprises of 5 grades of materials that is being tendered for as multiple LOTs. Each LOT will form a separate contract.
This is a Concessions contract; Bidders are to submit the income per tonne payable to the Council for purchasing Kerbside Recycling Material. Please see tender documents for further information.

Description of risks to contract performance
The Council has identified certain foreseeable but uncertain risks ("Known Unknowns") within the Tender, these are further identified in the Specification and listed below:
鈥� a change in legislation introducing a new requirement to recycle Plastic Film. The Council reserves the right to vary the contract for LOT 2 to include this requirement
鈥� a change in demand resulting in a fluctuation to tonnages
It is not possible to fully measure or understand the impact of these risks prior to contract award.
The Council reserves the right, under schedule 8 of the Procurement Act, to modify the contract should any of the known risks materialise.
