Yanmar launches mini excavator

3 hours Yanmar has launched the SV10, a new compact excavator in the below 2t class, configurable to a width of 740mm, small enough for standard dooways,

Yanmar said it targeted jobs in construction and urban infrastructure where space is limited but performance essential. The sub-2t segment accounts for 39% of the construction machinery sector, Yanmar says, and continues to grow.

The SV10 has a variable width undercarriage. Retracted, it can manoeuvre through doorways and in constricted sites; at its full 990mm, more stability is available when needed. It has a rear swing radius of 540mm.

The excavator is powered by a Yanmar 3TNV70 engine delivering 9.2 kW of net power, enabling digging forces of 5.2kN on the arm and 7.6kN on the bucket, with a maximum digging depth of 1,800mm. The machine has an operating weight of 1,055kg and transport weight of 1,180kg.

The SV10 will be on show this week at Smopyc in Zaragoza and at Samoter in Verona in May.
