The construction of the 34MW La Mina run-of-the-river hydroelectric plant is Z眉blin Chile鈥檚 fifth project for Colb煤n, which is one of Chile鈥檚 largest electric utilities and has 22 power plants.
The contract for Z眉blin Chile comprises all earth and concrete works for the intake structures, an open-channel waterway, a turbine hall and a stilling basin. The construction works are expected to last about 25 months and should be completed in early 2017.
