It is Spence鈥檚 biggest contract in 40 years of trading.
Client is Network Rail Commercial Property, which bought Victoria Place from William Ewart in 2011 for 拢92m.
Spence鈥檚 contract is part of a 拢15m refurbishment and expansion scheme, which provides improved access and reconfiguration of the existing space, with the addition of a further 10,000sq ft of retail space.
The 26-week project starts this month.
Network Rail commercial director of retail Jonathan Crick said shops in railway stations 鈥渃onsistently show growth levels well above the high street鈥�. All profit from Network Rail鈥檚 retail activity is re-invested in the railway.
