The project includes a new seven-storey, 27,000m2 tower, which will house 12 intensive care patient rooms, 60 medical and surgical patient rooms, a laboratory and food services operations.
The renovation part of the project involves upgrading 2,800m2 of the existing facility.
Construction is due for completion in February 2016.
