Ridge appoints infrastructure head

17 hours Ridge has appointed Steve Williams its head of infrastructure. Williams joins the built environment consultancy from Turner & Townsend.

The appointment is part of Ridge's move to build its infrastructure capability, following its 2025 acquisition of Adept Management and a campaign of senior staff recruitment in the sector.

Williams has advised on and delivered major programmes of work for major infrastructure clients including Thames Tideway, Thames Water, Transport for London, Anglian Water, Heathrow Airport, the Ministry of Defence and Babcock.

At Ridge, he will work with clients on project readiness ahead of planning applications, business cases and market engagement and support them to make the best use of data to inform decisions about where to invest and how to future-proof their projects.

Jolyon Price, Ridge executive group and partner, project management, said: “As we continue to strengthen our infrastructure capability at Ridge, Steve is the perfect appointment to lead the team through our next stage of growth. His experience of supporting clients to deliver major infrastructure projects, his strength in leadership and his aspirations exactly match Ridge’s vision and ambition. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
