In its first contract for Miller Homes, GRS will take care of the full civil engineering scope for the redevelopment of the former RAF Burtonwood airfield site: roads and sewers and groundworks
According to the St Helens based civils contractor, the Omega contract had attracted significant interest from across the civil engineering sector in the region. For GRS to win it was “a clear statement of confidence in GRS's capability, its reputation, and the quality of its people,” said Tom Keane, owner and managing director of GRS.
"Omega is a major scheme and one that's been in high demand across the industry,” he said. “Securing the full package is a real vote of confidence in what our team can deliver.”
He added: "This is our first project with Miller Homes, and we're looking forward to demonstrating what GRS looks like operating at full scale – from roads and sewers to groundworks – every element handled with the expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail our clients expect. This award is a reflection of the effort that's gone in across the whole business, from the people on site to the planners and coordinators working behind the scenes. Omega is just the start. We're ready to deliver."
GRS will have boots and plant on the ground at the former RAF Burtonwood Airfield site shortly. Further project announcements from the Merseyside based business with new and existing clients are expected in the coming weeks.
