It is nearly a year now since construction minister Michael Fallon directed tier one contractors to sign up to the voluntary code and embrace best practice or face being named and shamed.
As recently as July this year, 12 of the 30 members of the UK Contractors Group (UKCG) had either refused to sign or hadn鈥檛 got the memo.
During the summer months, Mace, Seddon and Midas decided it was time to sign up. This month has seen Galliford Try and ISG add their names to the list of signatories, which today runs to 210 companies form the construction sector.
UKCG itself also signed up to the code earlier this month.
