They have committed to support聽an initiative called 鈥楥reating Britain鈥檚 Future鈥� by adding the campaign logo to their site hoardings.
The aim of the campaign is to tell people that construction is an important industry to the UK economy. They want people to know that construction companies do a good job and employ lots of people.
The bosses of the major contractors had announcing the launch of their campaign - "highlighting what this great industry can do," they聽say.聽
The campaign will be formally聽launched today at Paramount, Centre Point, in central London, where Labour MP Dame Tessa Jowell will join construction industry leaders including UK Contractors Group chairman James Wates, Kier鈥檚 Paul Sheffield, BAM鈥檚 Martin Rogers, David Lawther of ISG, Rhian Kelly of the CBI and representatives of contractors including Costain, Sir Robert McAlpine and Balfour Beatty.
