BAM starts £60m Rolls Royce engine factory

25 Sep 13 A ground-breaking ceremony has formally started construction by BAM of a new £60m high-tech factory for Aero Engine Controls (AEC), part of the Rolls-Royce Group.

AEC’s Advanced Manufacturing & Technology Facility in Solihull will replace two existing AEC sites in Hall Green, Birmingham.

The 28,000 sqm facility will produce engine control systems for a range of applications, including the Rolls-Royce Trent family of aircraft engines.
