The Parent Company, D+R Scaffold ( London ) Ltd was founded in 1965 as Davey and Randell Scaffold ( London ) Ltd and re-registered under the present title in 1966.

The objective was to offer a complete specialist scaffold and cradle access service to government Departments, Local Authorities and the Private, Commercial and Industrial Sectors of the building industry.

The success can be measured by the prestigious structures we have been entrusted to scaffold, which include Tower Bridge, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Nelson's Column. Scaffolds were also provided at Waterloo Station for British Rail and on buildings for British Airways.

Our expansion was consolidated in 1983, by the establishment of D+R Scaffold (Eastern) at Basildon, Essex. With its easy access to the motorway network we were able to offer our full services to all parts of East and North London, the Eastern Counties and North Kent.

In 1992, in order to further improve our service, especially to clients in the Southern Counties, D+R Scaffold (Southern) was established at Horsham, Sussex. This allowed us easier access to all areas south of London to the south coast.

A further important milestone was reached in 1990 when the company was accredited with its Certification of Quality Assurance, thus becoming one of the first scaffold companies to receive this recognition. Regular statutory appraisals continue to see this Certification maintained.

We are therefore proud of our achievements to date, which have established us as one of the largest privately owned scaffold companies in the U.K.
