A F & D Mackay Ltd. is a long established del credere timber agency having been in private ownership from its formation in 1846. Since this date Mackays have been synonymous with bulk softwood trading from Canada and Scandinavia to all parts of the UK and Irish markets. Based in the city of Liverpool from the very beginning, the company has found its position in central England an ideal location for its commercial activities in the British Isles and particularly as a gateway to the Irish market.

At Mackays we pride ourselves on stability of customer and supply base and continuity of staff within the organisation. We have a nation-wide customer base and are currently trading extensively in Canada, Scandinavia, Germany and the Baltic States with customers with whom we have built up partnerships over many years. We do not carry stock or sell directly to the public.
